Kirkbride, Sydney College of the Arts – Andrea & James

Andrea, or the anti-bride as I affectionately called her, and James came to us with their idea of having a casual picnic wedding with lots of games, amazing finger food & fabulous drinks. Andrea was not into anything too ‘bridal’ and initially wasn’t even going to have a bouquet or any flowers at all…but…we managed to talk her around.

From the semi-circular ceremony seating (no aisle), private signing of the registry (in a room away from all their guests), pink wedding dress (bright pink!), and no wedding cake (her husband surprised her with a cheese tower) – this was a wedding unlike most others and it was awesome!

We set-up a couple of picnic areas with large, low tables so guests had a firm surface to put down their drinks & food whilst reclining on the mountain of cushions we supplied. A couple of alfresco lounge areas were installed under the shade of the trees, and a special guest book signing table complete with typewriter for date night suggestions & words of wisdom for the newlyweds.

Picnics aren’t complete without lawn games and we had a lovely assortment laid out from giant Jenga & Connect 4, to badminton (with custom ribbon net), croquet, and ring toss (of course!).

Check out all the pix below along with a lovely thank you note from the newlyweds.

Drinks were poured by the amazing team from That Vintage Caravan – definitely the coolest mobile bar I’ve seen.

All edibles were handled by Art Kitchen – not only delicious, but their food styling is great too.

We want to say thank you from the bottom of our our hearts for what you created on our wedding day… made a blissful setting that wowed our guests and truly enticed the romantic and relaxed atmosphere that followed – exactly what we hoped for.
From the moment you responded to my initial query I knew I could trust you to create our signature scene, and you so did!
So thank you, thank you, thank you.
